PoE Injectors
PoE injectors are used to power the device over the same cable as data. Typically, PoE (Power Over Ethernet) technology is compatible with devices such as IP cameras, VoIP gateways, Access Points, or Client devices known as CPEs. PoE injectors are devided according to the maximum speed that the active elements can communicate together - 100Mbps and 1Gbps. PoE injectors are further divided into active or passive. Active PoE negotiates whether the end element requires power or not - if a notebook is connected to such an injector, the PoE does not let power supply. In the case of passive PoE, the power supply output is constant. We also devide PoE adapters according to output voltage and, in case of active POE, also output power. For passive PoE, lower voltage is used, usually 12V to 48V (most often 24V), 48V to 56V is active, 802.3af (max. 15.4W / port), 802.3at (max. 30W / port) are adapters. or 802.3at+ (max. 60W / port).
